CNC Programmer

Your Role

  • Support Toolroom during injection molding repair by suppling programming to produce carbon electrodes for our sinker Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and hard milling programs for our high-speed milling machine
  • Work with existing Computer-aided Machining (CAD) data and modify solids and surfaces to improve quality before machining carbon electrodes
  • Provide design and programs for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine to produce carbon electrodes and hard steel machining using Cimatron software
  • Job planning and flexible hours pending production requirements
  • Organization of electrodes and reordering perishable tooling
  • Transfer files from computer to machine
  • Communicate with senior designer, toolmakers, and supervisors
  • Updating CAD for occasional design changes

Your Skills

  • High School Education/ General Education Degree (GED)
  • Technical degree in machine tool technology preferred
  • Journeyman Card as a toolmaker a plus
  • Computer skills required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
