Injection Molding Setup Technician

Your Role
- Ensure that all specifications and standards are in technical compliance. Use setup routing and production orders as guides, install tooling and related equipment on to plastics injection machines to produce molded plastics parts. Adjust and fine tune production machines and associated equipment as needed to produce the highest quality part as efficiently as possible.
- Maintains the machines and associated equipment – including robotics.
- Conducts sampling of new molds and materials.
- Direct the daily duties of the personnel assigned to their area.
- Maintain records as required.
- Maintain equipment and ensure that work space is clean and orderly.
- Troubleshoot Robots and other automation machinery.
- Conduct studies on production, labor, equipment, and material costs.
- Practice a variety of molding processes.
- Use data collection (Plant Star, Kistler, Maximator) modules effectively.
- Trains and performs the duties of Material Handlers and Operators as required.
- Assures that all quality assurance measures are followed to the control plan for each product.
Your Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Journeymen’s card preferred
- 5-7 years previous experience in plastics injection molding in a set up capacity
- Previous experience with 10-500 ton capacity machines
