Description of Activities

  1. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
  2. Responsible for the assembly line layout.
  3. Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs equipment and facility layouts to maximize efficiency.
  4. Consults with Planning and Design personnel regarding product and tooling design to ensure efficient production methods.
  5. Works with suppliers/vendors to determine product specifications; defines equipment, material, and component characteristics; and evaluates products against specifications and quality standards.
  6. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information to Engineering Management and Executive Leadership.
  7. Collaborates with Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Management, and other personnel regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  8. Applies statistical methods to forecast future manufacturing and capacity requirements, perform line balancing, and conduct time studies.
  9. Demonstrates the ability to cooperate and work effectively with cross-functional teams to complete required tasks in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring the production of high-quality products.
