OVERVIEW

Lead the development and implementation of innovative mechanical design solutions, ensuring compliance with quality, cost and safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize existing products and develop new ones, from conceptualization to production. Provide technical expertise in decision making and ensure the feasibility of proposed solutions. In addition, mentor less experienced associates, fostering their professional development and strengthening the capabilities of the team.

Your Role

• Lead product design, development, and optimization activities from concept through production.
• Apply DFMEA, Six Sigma, DFM /DFA, GD&T, and tolerance analysis to improve product quality and manufacturability.
• Manage engineering changes, technical documentation, CAD models, BOMs, and prototype validation.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, product performance, and successful project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and support  continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Your skills

• Bachelor´s degree in mechanical or industrial Design, Mechatronics or comparable education.
• At least 3 years of experience as a design engineer for the automotive industry.
• Strong experience in a professional 3D CAD system (ideally CATIA Vs Unigraphics Nx) or comparable engineering experience.
• Manage Catia Tree Structures.
• Design for Manufacturing mindset
• Draft Angles Analysis
• Assembly Process
• Sheetmetal design
• Plastics design and process knowledge is a strong plus.
• International & intercultural experience
