Your Role
- To maintain, troubleshoot and repair production equipment, test equipment, including dryers, pumps, transfer systems and robotic handling systems in a fast paced high volume manufacturing setting
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machine
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical electronic components of machinery and equipment
- Layout, install, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair as needed
- Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers
- Must be able to work well, both individually and in a team environment to accomplish necessary tasks in a timely, efficient manner to generate quality products
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings, electrical instructions, hydraulics and pneumatics and effectively present information to other employees of the organization
- Performs daily/weekly/monthly inspections of the equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment using knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) (AB, Siemens), electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor /feedback systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Test performance of equipment using standard diagnostic instruments
- Evaluate and correct the efficiency and reliability of production equipment
- Provides technical support to the production floor
- Maintain service records of equipment
Your Skills
- High School Education/GED with 3-5 years’ experience or; Associates degree or Technical school certified with minimum 2 years work related experience
- Computer skills required
- Math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals essential
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to read and follow equipment, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Be able to understand the requirement of the product to make sound adjustment to equipment
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Predictive Maintenance (PD) driven equipment preferred
