Overview:
The SMT Maintenance Technician ensures the reliability, availability, and performance of SMT production equipment. This role is responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting production teams, managing technical documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The technician plays a key role in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency within the manufacturing environment.
Key Activities
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans in alignment with equipment supplier guidelines.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules defined with the Production team, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Support the creation of work instructions by defining first‑level maintenance activities for operators.
- Perform corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and repair of equipment failures.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers to obtain technical support and drive effective problem resolution.
- Manage spare parts by preparing detailed lists, identifying critical components, and ensuring availability.
- Request and evaluate quotations for equipment, tools, and spare parts to support maintenance operations.
- Operate and update SAP and other maintenance software tools used within Huf.
- Conduct technical assessments and monitoring activities related to Clean Room performance and compliance.
Profile
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Technical and automotive background preferred (Quality, Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, etc.).
- Experience with electronic processes (SMT) and electronic products (PCBAs).
- Strong problem‑solving skills related to electronics warranty issues and 0 km topics.
- Ability to interpret and work with technical documentation (Electrical Schematics, Pneumatic Schematics, Mechanical Drawings & Exploded Views, Component Datasheets, Diagnostic Reports & Machine Logs, Installation Plans and Technical Layouts)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory)
