Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; master’s degree or diploma in taxation  

  • 3 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably in a multinational corporation or GBS environment.  

  • Knowledge of international and domestic tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, with experience in multiple tax jurisdictions. , mainly Mexico and US, Brazil (desirable) 

  • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems, such as SAP, as well as tax systems as COFIDI, and preparation software.  

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and guidance and apply them to specific business situations.  

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across different regions.  

  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality in tax reporting and documentation.  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proficient in SAP FI and Microsoft Excel; experience with EBS or TM5 considered an advantage. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns, including corporate income tax, indirect tax (VAT/ WHT, SUT, PIS, COFINS), transfer pricing documentation, and other tax filings for multiple jurisdictions.  

  • Provide to tax advisors with the monthly and annual information for the tax preparation, request the funds for payment on time for Mexico and US plants  

  • Prepare Global Tax area requirements, and external audits.  

  • Analyze and prepare tax compliance reports for the region and support analysis and decision making for special transactions or ideas. 

  • Conduct tax research and analysis on complex tax issues, including international tax planning, tax treaties, and transfer pricing regulations, to support decision-making and compliance efforts.  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Business Development, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business initiatives and transactions.  

  • Prepare and maintain tax provision calculations, including current and deferred tax assets and liabilities, in accordance with applicable accounting standards in the Region. 

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of tax technology solutions, such as tax compliance software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools, to streamline tax processes and enhance efficiency.  

  • Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards across various jurisdictions, and assess their impact on the company's tax compliance and reporting requirements.  

  • Support tax audits and inquiries by tax authorities, including gathering and analyzing relevant documentation, responding to inquiries, and resolving tax issues in a timely manner.
