Your Role

• Implementation of the strategic guidelines in the respective projects.
• Tracking realization deadlines and progress for the components of the respective project scope.
• Managing and coordinating projects in relation to the plastic injection molds to be procured. 
• Creating project - related presentations.
• Close cooperation with the development department (PD) with regard to part design and its implementation in the construction of injection molds (frontloading).
• Cost-related development of mold concepts in the acquisition phase.
• Development of injection concepts, hot runner designs and mold concepts.
• Developing solutions to be able to manufacture components using the injection molding process.
• Assessment of the manufacturability of injection molded parts including suggestions for improvement.
• Analysis of filling and war page simulations and their evaluation with regard to quality requirements.
• Assessment of tolerance design and feasibility based on design, shrinkage, simulation. 
• Planning and conducting project meetings, both within the company and with external suppliers and the customer.
• Close cooperation with the respective mold making department for the production of molds (internal and external).
• Checking existing mold designs (internal / external) and evaluating quality.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the annual logistics cost budget, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.
• Develop/optimize our mold standards for the Huf Group in terms of mold production, plastic injection molding, machine technology and equipment.
• Working closely with the IE-IM teams on specific projects.
• Continuously working on the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities in terms of mold making, plastic injection molding, production time, material consumption, equipment availability and scrap.
• Lead and support mold validations and production start-up at the respective Huf sites. 
• Monitoring compliance with production standards.
• Work Support in troubleshooting in the area of plastic injection molding at the respective production sites and at suppliers. 
• Work closely with the quality management team to ensure requirements for specified products are met.
• Collaborate with other departments such as design, manufacturing and quality assurance to increase to increase efficiency and quality.
• Assist in training employees on mould design, part design and plastic injection moulding.
• Internal as well as external consulting regarding industrial engineering.
• Demonstrate and document the development and continous improvement of global projects. 

Your Skills

• Successfully completed studies/bachelor's/master's degree in mould making or a comparable qualification with several years of experience in mould making.
• Sound knowledge of mould design for injection moulds.
• Confident handling of Catia V5 software, MS Office
