AP Accountant

Overview

The Accounts Payables Accountant will be responsible for an efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions, including preparing and instituting payments, support the SAP S/4HANA implementation and harmonization at Group Level.

Your role

  • Verify vendor invoices, check them along with defined standards and process them further up until payment - follow up on open transactions
  • Ensuring the rule-based posting of all business transactions, while maintaining compliance Perform and review of account assignments and postings – follow up on complex cases
  • Resolve open issues with the operating units and clarify complex situations in AP
  • Support intercompany reconciliation
  • Assess requests from legal entities as well as complex issues in AP
  • Identify and work on process improvements within accounts payable incl. support of related projects Handle any ad-hoc requests from legal entities, stakeholders or direct superior
  • Perform Month end closing activities Perform supplier payment

Your skills

  • University Degree (Accounting, Finance)
  • Work experience (+ 2 years) in accounting / accounts payable
  • SAP knowledge (FI / CO) and preferred previous experience with AP technologies e.g., OCR, invoice verification, workflows
  • Team player with an open-minded attitude
  • Strong communicator both written and verbal in English and native language
  • Self-efficient and organized in prioritizing tasks and projects
  • Great attention to detail and with numbers and figures and
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices
