IT Specialist/Application Manager (w/m/d) Business Solutions

Your Tasks

In this key position, you will report directly to the Head of the Basis Team and indirectly to the Director of IT / Business Solutions (IT-BS). Your focus will be on managing and optimizing IT systems that efficiently and innovatively support our business processes.

 

  • Managing and further developing our applications, software, and systems, including troubleshooting and quality assurance.
  • Modernizing a proprietary solution for a major automotive manufacturer: You will design and implement a future-ready software solution that manages production data in real-time and automates customer communication. In this role, you act as the interface to external partners and customers to gather and implement requirements.
  • Introducing and managing software solutions such as FORMAT Software with the WUP, SAM3, and IVEAS modules.
  • Specifying and documenting new solutions, including reviewing and optimizing technical concepts.
  • Technically monitoring EDI messages to support the local IT infrastructure.
  • Participating in SAP projects and taking on tasks in SAP basis management, including implementations.
  • Training and advising application users in the business area, as well as preparing comprehensive documentation.
  • Project management – independently leading and supporting implementation and modernization projects.

 

Your Profile

Qualifications:

  • A completed degree in Computer Science (Bachelor/Master) or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT Specialist, IT Management Assistant) with technical further training and several years of professional experience in IT.
  • At least 2 years of experience in application management or similar tasks.
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with applications such as CEP Solution (SAP integration for parcel shipping), encryption database (SQL programming), EDI, and FORMAT software.
  • Affinity for new systems and applications, coupled with the willingness to actively manage and further develop them.
  • Language skills: Fluent German and English (B2 level).
